RRR: Alia Bhatt to BEGIN shooting from May for Rajamouli’s film?

The multilingual film RRR is one of the biggest films in the upcoming season because of the star-studded cast from different lingual industries. One among them is Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt who would be making her debut in Telugu cinema. And seems like the Brahmastra actress is all set to start shooting for Rajamouli upcoming period drama,RRR, from May. Producer of the film DVV Danayya interacting with a publication confirmed the same and said, “Alia Bhatt has allocated her call sheets for our film and will join the sets in May. The film is shaping up well and we have already completed about 75 percent of the shoot.”

Alia Bhatt will be paired opposite Ram Charan as his love interest in RRR which is slated for a 2021 release. According to sources, Alia Bhatt will shoot with Ram Charan in Ahmedabad and Pune in the next couple of months. Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn will also play a cameo role in this film.

Rumours of a delay in the film’s release started doing the rounds due to suspension of shootings in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak. Denying these rumours, Danayya stated that the unit is not responsible for any of these claims and reiterates that they have already made an official statement regarding the release date of the film and will stick to it. “RRR will be released on January 8 in Telugu and other regional languages. Everything is on track as planned. We have already postponed the film’s release from July 31 to January 8, for unrelated reasons, and there is no way we are backing out from the Sankranthi race,” clarifies the producer.

The big budget film RRR narrates the story of two revolutionary Telugu freedom fighters Alluri Seetharamaraju and Komaram Bheem, played by Ram Charan and Jr Ntr. Hollywood artists Ray Stevenson, Allison Doody and Olivia Morris are also roped in to play British characters in the film. RRR will hit the screen on January 8th 2021 worldwide.
