The OnePlus 8 series could launch in a couple of months.
There has been a lot of talk going around the OnePlus 8 series and this year, fans of the brand are expected to be treated to three new models launching at the same time. The most premium one, which is expected to be called the OnePlus 8 Pro, has already been through a couple of benchmarking sites and ended up revealing a couple of its internal specifications. However, only a little has been known about the other two models so far apart from the renders. Much to OnePlus' irritation though, some more info about the OnePlus 8 has been spilt.

Every new phone has to grab a certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) before launching in the Indian market and the OnePlus 8 has been spotted doing that just now. Spotted by Nashville Chatter, the OnePlus 8 has just passed the BIS certification, thereby being deemed fit by Indian standards. A BIS certification hints at an imminent launch in a couple of weeks.

Sadly, the certification doesn't reveal any specifications related to the OnePlus 8 and you will have to rely on your imagination as well as the revealed renders from various tipsters on the web. No certification has been found for the OnePlus 8 Pro and the rumoured OnePlus 8 Lite. Does that indicate something about OnePlus' launch strategies? Will the OnePlus 8 launch before the Pro and Lite versions? We don't know for sure.

What we do know for sure are the speculations surrounding the OnePlus 8 series and there's a lot to talk about it. The regular OnePlus 8 is expected to get massive upgrades over the current generation OnePlus 7T. According to leaked renders and information, OnePlus might be looking to upgrade in areas pertaining to the display, performance and cameras.

A 90Hz display with 1080p resolution is known to be present on the OnePlus 8, given that OnePlus will stick to the 90Hz panel for all its phones as standard. The display is even expected to get curved edges similar to the Pro models. OnePlus might also offer the newest Snapdragon 865 chipset, a bigger 4000mAh battery as well as the 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor for the main camera at the back.
